Marco Bernardi

Chairman

Marco Bernardi graduated in Economics from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome.

He joined the Banca Generali Group in January 2003 as Head of Incentives within the Planning and Control Department, later moving to the General Manager’s staff in 2005. In 2008 he took on the role of Head of Sales for the Banca Generali Network. In 2012 he was appointed Head of the Financial Planner Division of Banca Generali, and in 2017 he also assumed responsibility for the Network Support Area. Since January 2018, he has been appointed Deputy General Manager for Commercial Networks, Alternative Channels, and Support.

Previously, he gained experience within the BNL Group (2000–2003) in financial promotion, and at Gabetti Spa (1999–2000), where he was involved in managing the network of real estate agents.

Maria Ameli

Chief Executive Officer

Maria Ameli, Executive Director of Generfid S.p.A., the fiduciary company of Banca Generali, graduated with honors in Nuclear Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and earned a Master in Entrepreneurship from Harvard Business School. She teaches in Private Banking workshops, collaborates with several international Business Schools, and is a guest speaker at major round tables on topics related to innovation, corporate sustainability, and support for SME growth. Maria serves on the Board of Alumni of the Politecnico di Milano and on the Board of Directors of Agorai Innovation Hub.

Since 2018, she has been Head of Corporate, Real Estate & Art Advisory at Banca Generali, a role in which she has coordinated initiatives supporting Italian SMEs and the real economy, assisting clients in strategic and investment decisions.

She has worked in the private banking sector since 2004, gaining extensive experience that also includes the management of private and UHNW clients.

Throughout her career, she has developed strong expertise in structuring complex wealth situations and has held roles at Banca Arner Italia and later at Ersel in strategic marketing, business development, club deal structuring, and investments in innovative SMEs.

She has also worked at B2Biscom and Bain & Company as a strategic consultant, gaining solid experience in Corporate Finance and M&A.

Antonella Giorgia Pierfranceschi

DIRECTOR

Antonella Giorgi Pierfranceschi holds a Law degree from the LUISS University in Rome and has 30 years of experience at the main bank-owned Italian trust companies. Since 2016, she has been working with Banca Generali, supporting the commercial network with the main non-financial aspects of wealth. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Generfid S.p.A. since 2018.

Giuseppe Stuppia

DIRECTOR

Giuseppe Stuppia holds a degree in Law from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and was admitted to the Bar in 2015.

After gaining professional experience in the Milan and London offices of a leading law firm, he joined the Generali Group in 2016, where he held various positions within the legal department.

He is currently Head of Legal Affairs at Banca Generali.

Luca Viarengo

INDEPENDET DIRECTOR

Luca Viarengo holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Law from the Cattolica del Sacro Cuore University of Milan and a PhD in Finance from the Bocconi University. He is a lecturer in the Corporate Finance course at the Cattolica del Sacro Cuore University of Milan. A chartered accountant and auditor, he provides consulting services in finance, administration and taxation and is statutory auditor of various companies. He has been an Independent Director of Generfid since 2021.

Laura Guazzoni

INDEPENDET DIRECTOR

Laura Guazzoni holds a degree in Industrial Business Economics from the Bocconi University, where she is still a lecturer in Business Economics and Management. She is a chartered accountant. She sits on, and in some cases chairs, boards of directors and boards of statutory auditors of industrial, financial and insurance companies, including some listed companies.
